MONTHLY OUTLOOKS

NCEP (National Center for Environmental Prediction) is calling for NOVEMBER in Maryalnd to feature temperatures to be near normaland. Precipitation however has a greater than normal chance to be dry. Medium Range modles indicate a well above normal start to the month, that will finish below normal. That may average out to average...but plan on extremes and a pattern change or reversal during the second or third week. Note: I have included the North Atlantic Oscillation as well. The positive numbers often indicate near or above normal temperatures. There is an indication in the lon range trend for a drop to negative NOA for the second half of the month. This would result in near or below normal temperatures. It should be noted that an above normal first half, and a below normal second half of the month would blance out to near normal.
